The Springbank Community Association is pleased to be an Award Centyre for the Duke of Edinburgh International Award. The Award is the world’s leading youth achievement Award operating in over a 130 different countries and territories. It recognizes that not all learning happens in the classroom and encourages young people to take on new challenges. The Award allows young people to determine what they are passionate about, regardless of their background, culture or access to resources. By creating opportunities for young people to develop skills, get physically active, give service and experience adventure, the Award can play a critical role in their development. Learn more here.

Each year, we also support a local organization through our Community Raffle. We have donated nearly $45,000 to Springbank Community High School programs over the past three years. In 2023, we supported the athletics department's purchase of new equipment.

Local organizations can apply for funding each spring. Applications for funding are due March 31, 2024.
